Married Life

Winter Wonderland

Winter has been pretty mild this year. Every snow fall we’ve had so far melts by the time it hits the ground or it rains within a couple hours, until last night…..

I woke up this morning and the sun was shining and the snow was sparkling. I couldn’t wait to get outside. My husband and I had breakfast, got the morning chores done then we suited up to enjoy the sun on our quad.

We didn’t have a mission in mind other than to enjoy the beautiful sunshine together, so we only took 1 bike, I didn’t hesitate to climb on the back and wrapped my arms around his waist, then I held on in anticipation

We followed the trails to the Country Side. It was beautiful! The snow was crisp and fresh, everything was still that stark and shimmery white. The ponds and rivers glistened and swirled.

On the drive back, I drove the majority of the way. I don’t drive as fast as my husband, but he was accommodating and sat on the back and let me take control.

Our adventure took about two and a half hours and was a lot of fun. It was truly a winter wonderland.

Once back home he shovelled the drive way and I made us a late lunch.

  1. I love snow. It’s best on mountains (can’t ski on it otherwise…)

    PS Typo alert:
“and the sun was shinning and the”
    should be
“and the sun was shining and the”

I’ll get you to check your work before you hit that ‘Publish’ button if it kills me ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. Haha I re read it four times. Normally I run it through Grammary but I did this one on my cell phone not my laptop. Of sometimes Iโ€™ll walk away and come back with fresh eyes. Thatโ€™s what I should be doing lol. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I like cross country skiing so
      I donโ€™t need mountains. ๐Ÿ˜€

      1. Cross country skier? Nooooo… you need to let gravity do the work ๐Ÿ˜‰

Suggest considering working with several draft posts. That way you can let a post stew for a few days and come back to it with fresh eyes.

      2. Iโ€™m just going to treat it the same way you do when you work with children. Itโ€™s important to make mistakes in your writing so the children can see we all make mistakes. Embrace them and move on ๐Ÿ˜‰ I love cross country! Itโ€™s fun and great exercise!

      3. No still tell me. I do appreciate it. Im just not going to stress if I do. One of my biggest things to fix my mistakes will be not to post from my cell phone. Because both that I had issues with were published from my phone.
